Canadian customers are served by a separate company: https://datarecoverygroup.ca ## Prices (US dollars, fixed and published) - Hard drive recovery, mechanical failure (clicking, not spinning, dropped, not detected): $2,500 USD - SSD / NVMe recovery (M.2, SATA, PCIe): $1,500 USD - Flash media recovery (USB, SD, microSD): $1,500 USD - Phone recovery: $2,500 USD - RAID, NAS and server recovery: US$450 per drive to assess, then a written quote - Digital forensics: quoted after assessment - Prices include the donor drive or parts (used for head transplants and to repair the damaged drive) and UPS Express shipping. A new drive for the recovered data is not included: if needed it is supplied by DRG and quoted separately. - Assessment: US$450 per device, paid before diagnosis, credited in full against the recovery price if the customer proceeds (a $2,500 hard drive recovery costs $2,500 in total). Not refunded if the customer does not proceed. - Priority / Emergency Service (optional): +US$500 per case for front-of-queue, round-the-clock work. Non-refundable. ## No Data, No Charge guarantee - On a Guaranteed Case, if less than 1 MB of the customer's data is recovered in readable form, the recovery fee is refunded in full. Recovery of 1 MB or more is a successful recovery and the fee is earned. - The assessment fee and emergency fee are never refunded. - Cancellation: before the assessment starts, the US$450 is refunded. After approving the quote but before the recovery fee is paid in full, nothing more is charged and any part payment is refunded. Recovery work begins as soon as the recovery fee is paid, so from then on the recovery fee is non-refundable except under the No Data, No Charge guarantee. - Non-Guaranteed Cases (non-refundable once work begins): forensic cases, encrypted devices, custom XOR or controller programming, fire-damaged devices, hard drives previously opened by someone else, phones and tablets, and end-of-life models (all Maxtor, Quantum Fireball, HGST HTS72323A7, HTS725050A7, HTS721010A9, HTS727575A9). - The written quote states whether a case is Guaranteed before the customer pays. ## How it works 1. Call 1-888-749-3786; an engineer explains what to expect. 2. Sign the work order and pay the US$450 assessment. 3. Ship the device to the Sheridan, WY lab by free UPS Express. 4. Receive a written quote with the price and guarantee status. 5. Approve and pay the balance: card up to US$4,500 per transaction, any amount above that by wire transfer or ACH. Card details are handled by a PCI DSS-compliant processor; DRG never stores card numbers. 6. Typical turnaround is about two to three weeks (estimates, not guarantees). Recovered data is delivered as stated on the quote. 7. DRG deletes its copy of the data within 48 hours of confirmed delivery.
